The best way to spend a Saturday for me is doing something lovely with my family and today was no exception. We really love visiting National Trust places and today we went somewhere we’ve never been to before, Stowe Landscape Gardens in Buckinghamshire.
I always advise arriving early because the car parks get so full that you can end up in the overflow. Make sure you pack your walking boots because there is a lot to explore and I mean a lot! We only covered a fraction of the grounds but what we did see was absolutely beautiful. Carpets of snowdrops, cascades and a beautiful grotto were just a few of the things we saw. It reminds me of both Blenheim and West Wycombe park mixed together.
It’s so nice to get away from technology and letting the boy play with sticks and leaves, the things he should be doing, not being stuck in front of a screen, which is a huge challenge.
You can’t visit National Trust without a trip to the cafe, and the one at Stowe has a great selection. The service is also very good. An ideal end to a beautiful day.
